Why a page is one credit
Most tools in this category bill by something the reader cannot see before they commit — resolution, characters of text, model tier.
A page is the unit you actually think in, so it is the unit we charge in.
Every source language is the same price
Japanese vertical text, Korean hangul and Chinese all run through the same read-and-re-letter pass. None of them costs more than the others here.
A page that fails does not spend a credit
If a page comes back unusable, the credit goes back. You should never pay to find out that something did not work.
A chapter is just its page count
Drop in a 20-page CBZ and it costs 20 credits. There is no per-file charge, no batch fee, and no separate price for the export.

One page. A single image, or one page inside a CBZ, ZIP, PDF or EPUB. The number of bubbles on it, the background behind them and the source language make no difference to the price.
No. Two pages run without one, at full resolution, on the same engine the paid plans use. Downloads from the free tier carry a small ChapterLingo mark; signing in also starts saving your glossary.
No. Packs are one-time purchases and the pages stay on your account until you use them. There is no subscription attached and nothing to cancel later.
It is the list of character names, honorifics and recurring terms the translation should keep consistent. Once you fix a name, every later chapter uses it — which is what makes a long series read like one story instead of twenty separate jobs. It needs an account because it has to persist between sessions.
The Studio plan and the 4,500-page pack include a commercial use licence for the output. Note that this covers what our tool produces; it does not grant you any rights to the artwork you uploaded.
